This year CIRa celebrates 10 years of its existence and in cooperation with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund introduces a competition on Green Ideas in Macedonia.
Through a competitive process, this competition aims that civil society organizations, social enterprises and small business ventures in the country should be involved in identification, selection, and prioritization of and support innovative green ideas.
The project idea aims at the sustainable development of the environment through creation of job opportunities and/or higher income; The project idea is in line with the main activity of the entity which applies; The project idea is less than two years old and has an annual turnover not higher than EUR 10 000; The project idea is entirely based on the use of local resources; The project idea is based on a detailed business plan and is environment friendly; The project idea mobilizes the work and expertise of local resources and makes use of their traditional abilities; The project idea has a plan on how to grow the activity.
The applying entity must show that it has information or has performed an evaluation of local markets showing the existing need; knows its competitors` and its idea presents competitive advantages and the project idea will support revitalization of traditional local economies and links among people and the community.
Three best regional projects will also be selected which will receive USD 10,000 for the implementation of their green ideas.
